I drive through a concrete jungle my car needs a smoother ride?

Daddy Bear asked:

With the increasing number of potholes, my ride quality is decreasing!
I don’t wanna go out a get Jeeps and 4×4’s, but you almost need one on these cracked-up roads.

I just had new front struts and springs installed. These “top of the line” Monroe parts don’t even match up to the ride I had when the original parts were failing–when it comes to smoothly handling bumps. My current tires are newer, they have plenty of tread, correct air pressure, etc…

Please someone, tell me what would it take to get a smooth ride, or could even I change my suspension over to something else. I’ve restored this from the grave already, so even if it was costly, what options would I have?

I need something better.

Sorry a bit of a typo…

I was saying I DON’T want to go out and get Jeeps and 4×4’s

I want to improve on what I have
a ‘95 park avenue!

First off when you replaced the factory with Monroe did you go with a offroad package.. suspension. kit… if so they are way stronger meaning of course there is less give in your springs.so that they can handle the terrain better without camber and caster roll being so bad… so of course your going to feel the road alot more … make sure your running a light suv tire.. like a Michelin.. dont run aggresive Mud and snow or ATs.. that is also going to give you more feeling of the grooves in the road.. Check your body mounts.. make sure they are not worn out.. if so replace them as well.. if you havent allready… getting a smooth ride out of a 4×4 is really a weird request,, todays technology is way different of course.. but Jeeps have always been known to get where others cant… If you want a smooth ride go with a Chevy they use a Glorified Car suspension so they seem to be a smoother ride… but if you want to get somewhere… use your jeep.. and feel the heat a little…
