Mustang 92 L4 swap or build?
Wally asked:
I bought my daughter a 1992 Mustang 4 cyl 2.3 L. After a year or two, I wanted to bump up the volume a little with either a turbo and intercooler, or a 5.0. I’m aware that changes will have to be made toaccommodatee either, and brakes/suspension are the first issues to come to mind.

My initial thoughts are a mild camincreasee in lift/duration, better air flow in and out with mildhead workk. I’ll be happy with 30-50% increase inHPP and about the same in torque. So a reliable car that will get out of the way of Peterbuilts quickly!
Has anyone done either build, and what resources did you use?
Thanks…Wally

Sounds more like Daddy’s toy then daughter’s car. I’d go with the 5 litre. “nothing beats inches but inches.”

There is no replacement to displacement. Go 5.0 it will give you the power you seek easily. There are many How To V8 swaps and needed changes.
