Johnson asked:

Recently my car stopped on me in a parking lot and I couldn’t get it to restart. I replaced the starter now it just clicks but won’t turn over, I also got a new battery. Someone told me that it might be the fuel pump or the battery cables. Can anyone help me with this issue?

Computer or sensor could be out. Is the service engine soon light on? A dealer or an Auto Part stores(usually free) can check the codes that can help diagnose the problem.

You may have installed the starter where it will not engage with the ring gear.I was once sold some new battery cable bolts that would tighten the cable but were too long to be tight enough and the battery would not charge good enough and some times would not start the engine.

    3. Loose battery cables on either end.
    4. Broken or burnt in two cables or wires.
    5. Bad solenoid on starter.
    6. Loose solenoid on starter.
    7. Improper connection of wires to solenoid.
    8. Improper connection of solenoid to starter.
    9. Bad sensors.
    10. Bad ignition module.
    11. Broken timing chain.
    12. Broken crankshaft or camshaft.

And so on and so forth. Start with no. 1 and work your way through.
