QUESTION about rear air bag suspension?
Right – lets get into it. The kind of vehicle that I own a is a Chrysler New Yorker 1988 and I have a problem with the air suspension. Now it sags in the back of my car but the small airbags in the back that originally came with it have no holes, rips or tears (that I can see and have tested this). When I give the suspension some air the hoses seem fine but when I turn my car on, the generator to pump them up makes a noise which makes the back end go up then its a little better but I was looking under there and after about 15 seconds after it pumps air to them it makes like a click noise then it sags back down again the noise comes from the air compressor thing but when i first got the car it never did this what could be wrong so theres no leaks or holes so what?

air suspension
Rear Air suspension, i had tha same type on my Lincoln TownCar…
If over a small amount of time it begins to sag after a pump up from the compressor,- while you drive, or are in traffic, >>>this is a very small leak somewhere on the air spring “bag”, you might have to remove it to find it…(I had same exact problem)
the rest of the system should be fine but being a 20 year old car, i say it’ the air bag’s “springs”
Try StrutMasters for air suspension parts, but best of all just give them a call as I found them to be damn helpful (unlike many others)!
best wishes! Normal air suspension replacement can be pretty expensive but StrutMaters offer a conversion kit that will save you a lot of money. and you should be able to DIY.

Air Suspension Parts
I can assure you ther are holes either in the rubber boots or the lines going to them. 20 year old cars are like that. If the compressor works replace the air shocks or bags first. That is where the most wear and tear occurs. then lines and compressor pump…. Good Luck

air suspension solutions
there is a way to replace them with regular springs and i would suggest that you consider doing that. Check out the guys at Strutmasters as the are non air suspension replacement specialist.
