Dodge Ram 1500 or Dodge Dakota?

Rider asked:

Im looking for a truck and ive found two Dodge Ram 1500s and a Dodge Dakota. The 1st Ram is a red 1997 1500 ext.cab 4×4 and the mileage is not listed. The other is a 2001 red 1500 sport with an off-road package 4×4 and a suspension lift with off-road tires and has 98,000 miles on it. And the Dakota is a red 4×4 with a v8 magnum and 91,000 miles. Im looking for a truck that can get me from place to place but also have a little fun taking it off-roading too so which one would you recommend and why?

I am planning to lift my 1984 F-250. What is a cheap effective way to lift the front end?

Chi L asked:

I was planning on using a lift block kit until I did some research and found that this is unsafe to do in the front. I am planning on lifting the truck 4″ but am having trouble finding any way to do that without buying a suspension lift to lift the front. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
