98″ Lincoln Navigator Air Suspension Goes Out ALOT?

 Powered by Max Banner Ads
bbwgemini67 asked:

I have a 98″ Lincoln Navigator, and every 9mos or so(This is the 4th one!!) it seems I’m replacing the rear air suspension pump. Does anyone else has this problem? Also is it possible for me to pout regular shocks and struts in my navigator to avoid this happening again? Does anyone know if Ford is aware of this problem and is ther a recall or something, this is absolutely ridiculous. HELPPPPPPP!!!!!

;ljskfgisrjhf ` asked:

i have a lincoln continental and i have a problem with the air suspension system. i took a look at it and the rear air bags are not filling up with air. i manually took apart the solenoid and charged it with a battery and it works. so now my question is, does anybody know where the relay switch is to turn on the solenoid.

I want to restore my ‘92 Lincoln Mark VII for daily-driving duties. Any problem areas I should know about?

Miks asked:

I have already replaced badly rusted front calipers and rotors and had new break pads for all four wheels. I’m replacing rear calipers and rotors next. air suspension is still in good condition although I have no idea how much it is going to cost me once it starts acting up (knock on wood). Should I invest in a coil spring conversion kit this early or should I just maintain and/or repair the air suspension to retain the Lincoln-esque ride of the Mark VII. Lastly, I noticed some rust on the paint surface although it’s not so bad yet. Is there any way for me to retard the spread of rust to other portions of the car?
