lincoln continental 1996?

;ljskfgisrjhf ` asked:

i have a lincoln continental and i have a problem with the air suspension system. i took a look at it and the rear air bags are not filling up with air. i manually took apart the solenoid and charged it with a battery and it works. so now my question is, does anybody know where the relay switch is to turn on the solenoid.

I want to restore my ‘92 Lincoln Mark VII for daily-driving duties. Any problem areas I should know about?

Miks asked:

I have already replaced badly rusted front calipers and rotors and had new break pads for all four wheels. I’m replacing rear calipers and rotors next. Air suspension is still in good condition although I have no idea how much it is going to cost me once it starts acting up (knock on wood). Should I invest in a coil spring conversion kit this early or should I just maintain and/or repair the air suspension to retain the Lincoln-esque ride of the Mark VII. Lastly, I noticed some rust on the paint surface although it’s not so bad yet. Is there any way for me to retard the spread of rust to other portions of the car?

Can I put 92 Ford Taurus/Mercury struts on my ‘92 Lincoln Continental?

notoriousabc7 asked:

The air ride suspension on my 1992 Lincoln Continental are going out. The individual air struts are around $180 ea. There are spring conversion kits for $500, but I don’t want to spend that much. I read somewhere that I can use taurus or mercury struts. Can I? Do they bolt up the same? Thanks.
