What brand of shocks/struts would you use?
Peter Griffin asked:
One of my cars needs new shocks. I want something that performs better than OE, improves handling and gives a nice comfortable ride.

As far as I can tell, the only ones available for my vehicle are made by KYB, Monroe and Gabriel.
Out of those three manufacturers, which one would you go with?
If it helps, here are the part numbers for the products I am looking at:
KYB
1921280 – Front
1921281 – Rear
Monroe
71364 – Front (Sensa-Trac)
71326 – Rear (Sensa-Trac)
Gabriel
651713 – Rear only
Thanks!

of the three listed, i much prefer the KYB’s. they are the best in my book of the inexpensive line of shocks. if you can afford them, and if you can find them, KONI’s are the best in my opinion as they are adjustable and rebuildable.

i installed monroe sensa-tracs on the back of my car and they work pretty good but i think i need new springs too.

All 3 are good. About equal in quality.

I’d go with the Kyb, next time you might want to consider telling what type of vehicle.
