a suspension lift goes on the axles to lift the suspension a body lift go between the frame and the body of the truck.if i was gonna lift a truck i would go with a 3 inch body lift.

Suspension lift is increasing the distance from the frame to your suspension parts. Easy to tell if a suspension lift is done because the bottom of the frame and the ground is increased.
Body lift is increasing the distance from the truck body and frame. This is usually done by adding larger body mounts. Easy to tell because you will be able to see the actual frame exposed.

It’s tough for me to give a recommendation as what to do. That all depends on the type of driving and looks to hope to achieve.

I think suspension lifts look better tho.

A body lift does just that, it lifts the body up off of the frame. It allows you to put larger tires on your truck. I wouldn’t recommend over 3″ with these. It’s the cheaper of the 2 options. There are some other items that you need to look at, but a good kit will have it included.
The suspension lift raises everything off of the axles. Most kits will include all of your hardware you’ll need to get it done.
I’d recommend a 4″-6″ suspension lift. If you want more, then I’d look at a 3″ body lift at most.
